The Power of Joy and Peace

Lost River Retreat Center

Mark your calendars to enjoy a relaxing and inspiring retreat in the West Virginia Mountains!  This weekend will include guided meditations and talks to help us increase our minds of peace and happiness through meditation and practical instruction.   This annual gathering of the Mid-Atlantic Kadampa Centers from Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Maryland and New Jersey is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a weekend with practitioners from throughout the region.

During this weekend meditation retreat, you will be guided in meditations based on Buddha's teachings on the six perfections that lead to the state of enlightenment.    By training in these meditations, your mind will become progressively more  peaceful causing you to experience a profound inner stillness and tranquility.  In between sessions you can enjoy peaceful walks in the beautiful woods of West Virginia, sitting on the porch overlooking the grounds, and an evening bonfire with s’mores.  This retreat is suitable for everyone.
